Primo is delighted to announced our agreement with the Cope Foundation to build 10 new wheelchair accessible vehicles.
COPE Foundation caters for 1600 children and adults with intellectual disability through its systems of early intervention, schooling, training, adult day services , supported employment, housing, information and advice at 60 locations throughout Cork city and county and employs over 700 staff.
The eight vehicles will consit of seven new Renault Masters and three new Renault Trafics. Each vehicle has been designed so that the Cope Foundation can get maximum use from each of the vehicles, with a combination of manual portable ramps and automatic ramps allowing wheelchair access at the rear. Each vehicle will be comprised of a mixture of quick release and "tip and fold" seats, combined with a tested flooring system to allow the restraining of up to five wheelchairs. This level of flexibility is exactly what was required by the Cope Foundation.
Primo is delighted to be involved with such an organisation as Cope Foundation.
